RRB( Railway Recruitment Board ) Syllabus and Exam Pattern

Exam Pattern :-

(1)Common Preliminary Examination. (Computer Based Test)
(2) Exam followed by Verification of documents and typing test according to posts

(Computer Based Test)
The question paper will be in English, Hindi, Urdu and regional languages and the duration of the examination will be 90 minutes with approximately 100 questions.

Jaipur Metro Rail Exam Pattern

For all the Posts Maximum Marks: 100
Minimum pass marks shall be 40 % for all candidates other than SC/ST Category candidates and 35 % for SC/ST Category candidates. Psychometric Test and Medical Fitness Tests are Qualifying Tests. There will be no minimum pass marks for the interview
Psychometric Test (Qualifying Test): The Psychometric Test will measure specific abilities related to the job, such as reaction time, form perception, vigilance, speed anticipation and some selected attributes of personality.
Medical Fitness Test (Qualifying Test): All candidates called for interview and/or placed on the final merit list or panel of wait listed candidates shall have to undergo and pass medical fitness test as prescribed by JMRC.
Interview – 10 marks: The focus of interview will be on personality traits, including communication skills, of the candidates. There will be no minimum pass marks for the interview, but failure to appear in interview will disqualify the candidate. 
A) JMRC Pattern for Station Controller/ Train Operator: Written Test, Psychometric Test, Interview, Medical Fitness Test
1. Written Test – 90 marks- 135 minutes-120 questions
The questions shall be multiple choice objective type, with 0.75 marks being awarded for each right answer and 0.25 marks being deducted for each wrong answer.
Question paper consists of:
i. General Knowledge & Awareness, including General Science – 45 questions
ii. Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Ability and Reasoning – 45 questions
iii. Computer Awareness – 10 questions
iv. English Comprehension – 10 questions
v. Hindi Comprehension – 10 questions
2. Psychometric Test (Qualifying Test)
3. Interview – 10 marks
4. Medical Fitness Test (Qualifying Test)
B) Jaipur Metro Rail Exam Pattern for Junior Engineer (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics) : Written Test, Medical Fitness Test
1. Written Test – 100 marks- 135 minutes- 100 questions.
The questions shall be multiple choice objective type, with 1 mark being awarded for each right answer and 0.25 marks being deducted for each wrong answer.
Question paper consists of:
i. Domain/Discipline related – 50 questions
ii. General Knowledge & Awareness, including General Science – 20 questions
iii. Computer Awareness – 10 questions
iv. English Comprehension – 10 questions
v. Hindi Comprehension – 10 questions
2. Medical Fitness Test (Qualifying Test)
C) Exam Pattern for JMRC Customer Relations Assistant
1. Written Test – 90 marks- 135 minutes- 120 questions
 The questions shall be multiple choice objective type, with 0.75 marks being awarded for each right answer and 0.25 marks being deducted for each wrong answer.
Written Exam Paper consists of:
i. General Knowledge & Awareness, including General Science  – 60 questions
ii. Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Ability and Reasoning – 30 questions
iii. Computer Awareness – 10 questions
iv. English Comprehension – 10 questions
v. Hindi Comprehension – 10 questions
2. Interview10 marks
3. Medical Fitness Test (Qualifying Test)
D) Recruitment Process for Maintainer (Fitter, (Electrician, Electronics, Refrigeration & AC)
1. Written Test – 100 marks- 135 minutes- 100 questions.
The questions shall be multiple choice objective type, with 1 mark being awarded for each right answer and 0.25 marks being deducted for each wrong answer.
Written test paper consists of:
i. Trade related (including pictorial/ problem-solving questions covering the practical aspect of ITI training) – 65 questions
ii. General Knowledge & Awareness, including General Science  – 20 questions
iii. Computer Awareness – 5 questions
iv. English Comprehension – 5 questions
v. Hindi Comprehension – 5 questions

RRB Technician 2012 written exam paper pattern & Selection Process

Railway Recruitment Board RRB invites Applications from eligible Indian Nationals for the recruitment of Technicians in various disciplines.

Date & time of closing: 16.07.2012 up to 17.30 hrs.

Date of RRB Technicians Written Exam: 16.12.2012

RRB Technicians 2012 Selection Process: Selection is made strictly as per merit, on the basis of written examination. Short-listed candidates will be called for verification of original documents according to merit, availability of vacancies and reservation rules.

RRB Technician 2012 written exam Question paper pattern & Syllabus
The standard of questions for the RRB Technician 2012 written examinations will be generally in conformity with the educational standards and/or technical qualifications prescribed for the posts.

Duration of the RRB Technician 2012 examination will be 90 minutes with approximately 100 questions.
The Questions will be of objective type with multiple choice and are likely to include questions pertaining to General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence and reasoning and Technical Ability.

The question paper will be in English, Hindi, Urdu and local languages.

Note: There shall be negative marking in written examination and marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer @1/3 of the marks allotted for each question.

RPF SUB INSPECTORS EXAM PATTERN

(a) General Knowledge: The paper will be of objective type. Questions will be asked on past/current affairs, History, Geography, Hindi, Mathematics and Science.
Duration: One hour.
Total Marks: 100.
(b) General English: Questions will be set on Grammar, Précis Writing, Correction of Sentences, Annotation of selected Paragraphs/Poems, etc.
Duration: One hour.
Maximum Marks: 50.
(c) Essay writing: Essay can be written either in English or in Hindi in 300 words.
Duration: One hour.
Maximum Marks: 50.

RPF Constables Exam Pattern

WRITTEN EXAMINATION:

The Written Examination will consist of 120 multiple-choice objective type questions of one mark each and shall be of 90 minutes duration. The questions paper will be of matriculation standard with 120 as maximum marks. The question paper will consist of 35 questions on General Intelligence & Reasoning, 35 questions on Arithmetic and 50 questions on General Awareness. Candidates will be required to answer all the questions. Each correct answer will be awarded 1(one) mark and 1 (one) mark will be deducted for 4 (four) incorrect answers. No mark shall be awarded or deducted for questions not attempted.
