Specific Grade Pay of post in Pay Band Rs 5,200-20,200 and place of posting will be decided by the Southern Railway administration at the time of offering appointment to the selected candidates based on the following;
In case of Sportsperson having outstanding sports achievements, the lower and upper age relaxation may be granted in exceptional cases with the approval of Railway Board.
Period of Reckoning Sports Achievements
The sports achievements shall be in the immediate previous two years and sports persons shall be an active player.

Educational Qualification
- For posts with Grade Pay Rs 1800/ 1900/ 2000: 10th pass or ITI or equivalent
- For posts with Grade Pay Rs 2400/ 2800/ 4200: Graduation in any discipline
Specific Grade Pay of post in Pay Band Rs 5,200-20,200 and place of posting will be decided by the Southern Railway administration at the time of offering appointment to the selected candidates based on the following;

- The sports achievements on or after 1 April 2009 shall only be considered for appointment
- For this purpose, the concluding day of the Championship shall be taken into account.
